Coconut Samui guest Adam reports from the Tiger ZooHi. My name is Adam and I’m kinda what you might consider to be somewhat of a beach-bum. I come from the west coast of the good old USA and have been a frequent flyer to the coconut island of Samui to hang out on the beaches, check out some cool sites and pretty much just enjoy life. I’m doing what I consider to be “Living the Dream!” And Thailand is definitely one of the best places in the world to do just that. I rent a beach villa at Coconut Resorts on a regular basis during my trips, and I recommend them to anyone wanting the luxury of a hotel combined with the comforts of home. I’ve even bought a few additional luxury items and kept them there for when I visit. The most important one being a hammock that I string between two coconut trees on the beach in front of my villa.

I do a lot of water sports when I come to Samui, which I’ll fill all of you in on during my next visit when the winds are at their peak. But there is one very sweet place that I like to visit every holiday here, and that’s the Samui Aquarium & Tiger Zoo.

at the Samui AquariumAfter you spend as much time as you like in the Aquarium, the venue opens up into the Tiger Zoo, where you can have your photo taken with a full-grown Bengal Tiger, or even feed a baby. The Leopards will invoke in you the sense of fear as you witness the grace and stealth with which they stalk you from their cages as you peer into their world, and when drive through the jungles on your return home you will wonder how many eyes are watching you from behind banana trees. The courtyard at the zoo contains a variety of wildlife and exotic creatures, some of which you may never have seen before and will be sure to spend time admiring.

It is the talk of my Samui holiday every year, and as I continue to come I have become friends with some of the animals, particularly the Otters. I love those little dudes! Make it one of your excursions from your Coconut Samui Villa on your next holiday.
